Mud Bay has equipment capable of performing all types of rotary based drilling methods, including auger, mud rotary, air rotary and diamond core drilling. Rotary drill rigs within the Mud Bay fleet are set up to perform a combination of these techniques, offering added versatility to your project, all deployed from a single equipment package.

Multi-Drill Rigs

Mud Bay’s fleet of Multi-Drills offer maximum drilling and sampling versatility. These units can also be combined with the full range of in-situ testing capabilities.

Key Features

  • Specialize in mud rotary, air rotary and diamond core drilling
  • Both open hole and casing advance mud rotary systems available
  • Casing advance systems allow for any in-situ testing or sampling equipment including 3 inch diameter Shelby Tube
  • Can deploy all types of geotechnical in-situ testing equipment (i.e. CPTu, eVST, PMT, SPT, LPT etc.)
  • Can deploy CPTu with 20 tons of thrust by integrated custom designed Mud Bay Ramset
  • All Multi-Drills come equipped with built-in safety rotation cages and calibrated Automatic SPT hammer
  • SPT Energy Testing equipment also available

Auger Drills

Mud Bay has several industry tested and proven auger drill rigs, capable of operating solid and hollow stem augers of various diameters up to 12 inches. Whether for geotechnical or environmental purposes these rigs are also fully equipped for CPTu and other in-situ tests.
